Providing direction to the team in the creation of innovative game mechanics
and an engaging player experience.
Architecting the creation of all design documentation.
Generation of schedules for design team members.
Hiring of new design team members.
Working with the Game Designer and Producer on the focus and scope of
the game over the course of development.
You have:
At least 6 years as a designer or equivalent in the game industry.
One or more shipped titles in a lead design role that includes direct
reports.
Solid scheduling and organizational skills, as well as clear "people
skills".
Keen knowledge of an abundance of different genres and gameplay mechanics,
as inspired by a long-time love of games.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills. Able to communicate effectively
and objectively with programmers, artists, and other designers.
Must have a strong grasp of logic and logic flow. Experience with scripting
encounters and logic.
Traditional art skills a plus.
Ideal candidates will have experience leading teams of designers.
